Payment Options

Changes to Insurance Policy

Beginning January 1, 2026, our office will no longer be contracted with insurance companies and will transition to a cash-based practice. This means we will no longer bill insurance directly. Instead, payment will be due at the time of service, and we can provide you with a detailed receipt you may submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

This change allows us to focus more on your care—not insurance restrictions. By reducing the time and costs tied to insurance paperwork, pre-authorizations, and limitations on services, we can spend more time with each patient and provide the highest quality chiropractic care at transparent, affordable rates.

We appreciate your understanding and continued trust in our care. Please feel free to contact our front desk with any questions about this transition or how it may affect you.

Accepted Forms of Payment

In a “cash-based practice” simply means the office does not bill or contract with insurance companies — not that patients must pay in literal cash. Our practice will accept several convenient forms of payment, including:

  1. Cash – U.S. currency or coins.

  2. Debit Cards – Linked directly to checking accounts.

  3. Credit Cards – Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, etc.

  4. Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) cards – Accepted when used for eligible medical expenses.

  5. Checks – Personal or business checks (Established patients only).

Auto Accidents / Personal Injury / Workers Compensation

La Mesa Chiropractic Center WILL still accept these cases with no payment required at the time of service. Our office will be working directly with your Auto Insurance Company, Attorney or Workers Compensation Representative for payment. Please feel free to contact our office for more details.
